baby quilt, approximately 42"x 42"
Hand-dyed cotton fabrics, wool batting.
Front: whole cloth; Back: whole cloth; tied.
The front fabric of this quilt is made by folding and clamping, which makes part of the fabric resist the dye. For more information about this technique, click here.
For the backing fabric, I simply mopped up (in a very controlled manner) some dye that was on my table, and then overdyed the piece blue.
